At the end of 2006 we conducted
a small survey of the Waiau Pa members. Some interesting
results:
- The thing "most" people
voted for as the thing they enjoy most in Taekwon-Do
was...TOURNAMENTS (closely followed by Patterns & Social)
- And the worst...most of
the votes were for THEORY.

Waiau Pa One Year Anniversary
Paul M TKD Waiau Pa is one
year old and on Thursday 24th March we will celebrate
it with a BBQ. Friends and family welcome - bring
a plate (BBQ type food).
Where: The Powell Residence,
15 Saddleton Road, Waiupa
(just across from club). Ph 232 0460.
Time: 6.30pm - 8.00pm approx
Congratulations to everyone
from the Waiau Pa branch that travelled to Palmerston
North for the first EPSON Under 18 tournament.
Everyone came away with a medal! Pictured below

Big Win for Mr Dan Jackson
Mr Jackson won BEST MALE BLACK
BELT at the 2nd Oceania Championships on the weekend
of 23rd and 24th October 2004. Over 200 competitors
from Australia and New Zealand took part in the event,
and Mr Jackson won his division in sparring, patterns
and power breaking. Assistant Instructor Mr Steve Morris
also did well, winning his patterns division, 2nd in
Sparring and 3rd in Special Techniques.
Over all the Waiau Pa branch
produced 15 medals from the 8 competitors entered. A
sign of great things to come from Waiau Pa!

CM Team recognised at Counties
Manukau Sports Excellence Awards
2004 CM Coach Mr Dan Jackson
and Assistant Coach Johny Ormby were proud to receive
the big award on behalf of the CM Team on Friday 29th
October. See

Waiau
Pa Branch Opening Night
The new club at Waiau Pa got off to a spectaular strat
on Tuesday 23rd March with over 150
turning out for the opening night. We had around 90
beginners on the floor plus another 50 or so watching.
Thanks to all the ITFNZ members who turned up for support.
